What do YOU do when you feel stuck? When you just don't WANT to?
Here's a little secret I've found- works every time: Just do something... anything. Your emotions will follow.
I get it, though. The appeal of the couch is tempting. I mean, who doesn't on occasion just want to stay cozied up? But it's easier to act our way into a new way of thinking than to think our way into a new way of acting.
So JUST DO IT.
Mood follows motion. Take the first step, momentum will gain. So open a book or go lace up those gym shoes. Whatever that initial action is we've been putting off- if we'll NOT allow how we feel to be the driver and choose instead to begin with one small action, we set the stage for our next winning streak.
So, the next time you're contemplating a change, just start somewhere.
Break the inertia, take that step, and watch how it transforms your mindset.
