We can push negative thoughts out of the way when we accept that we have no control over them. They simply show up. The moment we stop fighting them, they will quit bothering us. Since whatever we focus on expands, when we recognize (versus resist) the arrival of negative thoughts, it will release our unconscious attachment to them and allow us to move forward.
