“Do something astonishing. Create work that amazes your customers, generate love that lifts your family, and inspire breakthroughs that elevate humanity.” — James McPartland
Only those devoted to go to the fiery edges of their limits will ever come close to expanding them. There is a ton of competition at ordinary – almost none at extraordinary.
The magnitude of the work you offer to the world reflects the strength of the love and respect you have for yourself. Be ever so careful not to let ordinary become acceptable – certainly not if you long to be a maestro of mastery.
Most people want phenomenal things to happen to them. Those in constant pursuit of personal mastery make phenomenal things happen for them.
Have you been true to your talent and loyal to your values? Neglect your power long enough and you'll actually believe you don't have any.
Do not let the pain of an imperfect past prevent the glory of an extraordinary future. Know that you needed the life lessons to activate the treasures and capabilities that have longed to be awakened. Each of us must advance through the fire of our fears – and – walking into the very things that scare you is how to reclaim your forgotten powers.
Don't underestimate the amount of adversity that you must overcome in your pursuit of mastery. In spite of these inevitable obstacles, you must be all-in – all the time. A part-time commitment equals part-time results. You've got to learn to punch above your weight in your craft. Remember, each day is a page in the story that becomes your legacy.
Einstein said, "only one who devotes himself to a cause with his whole strength and soul can be a true master. For this reason – mastery demands all of a person".
Take a moment and reflect on these questions:
Who will be astonished by the person you are becoming?
What can you do that will simply amaze your customers?
What experiences will you bring to your family as you generate an unmatched level of love in their lives?
How will you pour into your world in a way that unleashes greatness in others – and – plays a part in elevating humanity?
In pursuit of mastery, all that matters is the potential you've leveraged, the heroism you have demonstrated, and the human lives you have impacted.
As you endeavor to reach the fiery edges of your limits, you can either allow yourself to become paralyzed by fear of rejection or go out there and astonish the world.
But – you don't get to do both. Which will you choose?
